EXXON MOBILE (MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR) Procurement Process and Quality Systems

Scope: Regional Supplier Community (SMEs/ manufacturing companies) in the Discovery Zone, Avalon Gateway Zone and Schooner Zone.

Project Objective: A training seminar series was developed to address identified common knowledge gaps and barriers that have been negatively impacting the ability of suppliers in the region from successfully bidding on work in the oil and gas industry.

Summary: Mr. Pelley was responsible for researching, developing, and executing supplier development seminars in the aforementioned regions in consultation with project partners (ExxonMobile, KKC, Schooner Regional Development Corporation, etc.). The seminars included comprehensive presentations on steps in the procurement process as well as quality management systems.

Project Description: Alex was involved in a supplier development initiative to assist SMEs access the government spending supply chain which including billions in spending from a number of different departments. As part of a supplier development initiative, Alex co-authored a Supplier Development Guide to provide a step-by-step path for SMEs to market their services to various government departments.
